Woody grew up in a small, Nebraska farm town listening to his clock radio at night, falling in love with how they took him away from that spot on the road.

He was 16 when he got his first part-time radio gig and immediately fell in love with it. After stints at other country stations in Columbus from '92-94, and 2001-2021, Woody retired from morning radio in late '21. Then WJKR offered him a chance to reconnect with 'Woodhead Nation' -, where you'll find him now, M-F 9a-noon.

Woody's married to Ressa (34+ years), and has three adult children, Luke, Leah, and Zach. And two grandchildren, Reece & Liam.
