Why Dolly Parton's Family Won't Reveal What Type Of Cancer Dolly Parton Had

Dolly Parton's family has been open about their grief since her death, but they're still choosing to keep one detail to themselves. 

According to the singer's sister Stella Parton, the family has decided not to reveal what type of cancer Dolly had to simply respect her privacy. During a conversation with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Stella said Dolly never specifically told the family not to tell anyone, but she also never told them they could share that information. Stella said "I can talk about my love for her and describe who she is to me, but it's not my business to tell her business." 

Dolly Parton passed away on August 25th at 80 years old following a brief battle with cancer.
