Route 1039: Mickey Mouse Is Coming!
If there's one thing you should know about our family... we're Disney people.
Like, Mickey Mouse isn't just a character; he's basically part of the family.
So when I saw that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Exhibit is coming to COSI, I may have been just as excited as Brady.
Our house has become a constant soundtrack of "it's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," and Mickey adventures, and Brady lights up every time those familiar ears pop up on the TV. Getting to actually step inside the Clubhouse? I already know this is going to become one of our favorite places to visit.
What is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Exhibit?
Instead of just looking at displays, kids actually become part of the story.
Families will help Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Professor Von Drake throw a surprise birthday party for Pluto through a series of hands-on activities and imaginative play. It's designed to get kids moving, solving problems, working together and using their creativity, all while feeling like they've stepped right into one of their favorite Disney Jr. episodes.
Some of the interactive experiences include:
- 🧁 Decorating cupcakes and Pluto's birthday cake with Minnie
- 🫧 Building a bubble-making invention with Donald and Professor Von Drake
- 🎨 Painting Pluto's doghouse and creating birthday surprises with Daisy
- 🌭 Grilling pretend hot dogs and playing games with Goofy
- 💃 Ending the adventure with the iconic Hot Dog Dance alongside Mickey and friends.
One thing I especially love is that it's more than just fun. Kids are practicing teamwork, empathy, counting, sequencing, and problem-solving through play. The exhibit is also bilingual (English and Spanish), includes ASL accessibility, and is included with regular COSI admission!
Let's be honest... waiting is hard.
If your family is already counting down until Mickey Mouse Clubhouse arrives at COSI, why not get your Disney fix now? The Science Behind Pixar has been extended through Labor Day, giving you a little more time to step inside the worlds of Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars, Monsters, Inc., WALL•E, The Incredibles and more. With over 50 interactive experiences, you'll discover the science and creativity behind the movies we all love, and trust me, it's just as fun for the grown-ups as it is for the kids. It's the perfect way to sprinkle a little Disney magic into your summer while you wait for Mickey to move in.
I have a feeling this is just one more chapter in our family's COSI story.
It's already one of our favorite places to spend a day together, and I love that every visit feels a little different. As Brady gets older, I know we'll keep finding new exhibits to explore, new questions to ask, and new memories to make.
I'm excited to keep sharing those adventures with you here on Route 1039, because if there's one thing I know, it's that COSI always gives us another reason to come back.
