Dolly Parton Nephew Fired From Role Of Protecting Her Properties
Dolly Parton's nephew has been fired from his longtime role of protecting the country legend's properties.
TMZ says a termination notice was sent Wednesday to Bryan Seaver, Parton's former head of security, informing that he and his security companies were immediately dismissed from every Dolly property. Replacement guards were sent to her main home in Nashville, while her museum, downtown residence and warehouse were also taken over by the new security team.
Seaver and his team are calling out Parton's longtime manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank, saying they're "dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions" taken by them since her death. Seaver was the family member Dolly selected to publicly announce her death.
Dolly Parton's Nephew Accused Of Threats, Attempted Extortion
A Nashville judge has granted Dolly Parton's estate a temporary restraining order against the late singer's nephew and former head of security, Bryan Seaver. Seaver was fired from his position last week and a lawsuit filed Tuesday accuses him of violent threats, intimidation and attempted extortion. The legendary music icon died August 25th and her estate has been overseen by her longtime manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank. The lawsuit, filed by the company Parton set up to protect her interests, says Seaver vowed to destroy Parton's entire brand and start a podcast attacking Parton's brand partnerships. The lawsuit goes on to say Seaver, an Army veteran who has described himself as a military contractor, invoked his experience, access to weapons and his capacity for violence while demanding money.
Seaver told TMZ that he did make some of the alleged statements in private conversation but that they weren't threats and his words are being taken out of context.
